Aim of the course

The aim of the course is enable learners to perform CPR and use the AED in a safe and controlled manner, quickly and effectively.

A Sudden Cariac Arrest (SCA) affects 1 person every 5 minutes

Who is the course suitable for?

AEDs are becoming a much more common sight in both the workplace and in public areas. Learning how to use one and having the confidence to use one quickly could save vital minutes and save lives. This course is suitable for all First Aiders, Health and Safety Appointed Persons and trained Lifeguards who would benefit from the knowledge and experience of using lifesaving equipment. This course will also benefit anyone who has never done first aid before as they will also learn basic CPR and life saving techniques.

The assessment process

During the course the delegates will be constantly assessed by the instructor both with the use of questions and also with practical elements specific to the AED on your site. We will also ensure that the delgates can confidently use and AED they have never used before.
